Economist/ industrial engineer as project clerk/ procurement (m/f/d)

in the field of thermal plants / power plant technology / plant construction

Concord Blue Engineering GmbH is a growing, innovative and internationally active company that plans, builds and operates thermal conversion plants. This process uses biomasses as well as waste and residual materials to produce high-quality products such as electricity, hydrogen or e-fuels, respectively.

Due to our growth, we are now looking for a Economist/ industrial engineer as project clerk/ procurement (m/f/d) for the Herten/Düsseldorf location.

Tasks:

Your main areas of activity include the project-related planning, delivery, assembly and commissioning of new plants and replanning of existing plants (containers / reactors, mechanical engineering / apparatus, steel construction, pipelines, brackets, electrical engineering, etc.).

You will work with a team of young and experienced colleagues with different areas of focus:

  • You are responsible for the commercial processing of plant construction projects as well as for the monthly project evaluation and ongoing project controlling.

  • You have market knowledge of plant construction suppliers, conduct commercial negotiations, obtain supplier offers, create commercial offer comparisons.

  • Constant expansion of the supplier tribe.

  • You will be involved in risk management in cooperation with the project management, as well as in contract and addendum management based on the specifications of the project engineers and the project manager.

  • You create regular deviation analyzes for the projects for the early detection of plan deviations and work out countermeasures together with the project teams.

Qualifikation

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering with a focus on structural engineering, a degree in economics / business administration or a comparable degree.

  • Several years of professional experience in commercial project management in plant construction is a prerequisite.
  • Experience in international projects and safe handling of international suppliers are desirable.

  • You have a high affinity for complex projects and technical issues.

  • Confident mastery of MS Office programs.

  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English is desirable.

  • Ideally, you have knowledge of VOB, contract law and BGB.

  • High motivation, decision-making ability and reliability.

  • You are a team player and bring a high level of commitment, resilience, flexibility and excellent communication skills.
